Description:
Dan Sapunar was invited to participate in POW! WOW!, one of the world’s leading international mural festivals, bringing together globally recognized artists to create large-scale public artworks.

His mural was developed as a site-specific response to the urban and cultural environment of Honolulu. Using the visual language of Spaceism—geometric abstraction, layered forms, and vibrant color transitions—the work explores themes of movement, energy, and spatial perception.

The composition interacts with the building’s architecture and the surrounding public space, creating a dynamic visual presence that shifts depending on the viewer’s position and distance. The mural contributes to the festival’s mission of transforming the urban landscape through contemporary art and strengthening the connection between artists, community, and place.
