Description:
Whole Boat is a site-specific art project in which Dan Sapunar transformed an entire boat into a unified artistic composition. Commissioned by the company Nautica in Croatia, the work takes inspiration from the movement of the sea, reflections of light, and the energetic presence of the marine environment.

Using the distinctive visual language of Spaceism—geometric flows, dynamic lines, and vibrant color fields—the artwork integrates with the boat’s physical structure. The composition follows the form of the hull, enhancing the perception of motion and allowing the visual expression to shift depending on light conditions, viewing angle, and surroundings.

The project explores the relationship between art, object, and movement within a maritime context, demonstrating how a functional vessel can be transformed into a mobile public artwork that interacts with its environment and audience.
